Yasunori Sakamoto

Mr. Yasunori Sakamoto is the Regional Representative for Türkiye, Central Asia, and the Caucasus at Mitsubishi Corporation. He graduated from Osaka University of Foreign Studies in 1992 and joined Mitsubishi Corporation in the same year. Between 1997 and 2009, he served as General Manager of the company’s offices across key regional hubs, including Baku, Tbilisi, and Tashkent. He then moved to Türkiye, where he worked as Assistant General Manager of the Istanbul Main Branch from 2009 to 2012. From 2012 to 2022, he held a series of senior roles within the Infrastructure and Industrial Projects Department, contributing to major strategic initiatives. Since 2022, Mr. Sakamoto has been serving as General Manager of Mitsubishi Corporation’s Istanbul Main Branch, Ankara Branch, and Ashgabat Liaison Office. In parallel, he holds the position of Regional Representative for Türkiye, Central Asia, and the Caucasus, overseeing the company’s operations and regional strategy.
